MOM'S FRENCH TOAST image

Number Of Ingredients 5

6 slices bread (white or cinnamon-swirl)
4 eggs
Dash of milk
Butter for the griddle or pan
Optional: cinnamon, maple syrup

Steps:

  • Beat the eggs and dash of milk together in a bowl. Heat butter on a griddle or in a large frying pan. Dip each slice of bread in egg mixture to coat and place on frying pan. Cook for about 2-3 minutes. Lift corner of the bread slices with spatula to check for doneness; when lightly browned, flip and cook til lightly browned on both sides. Top with maple syrup and cinnamon if desired.
