Mimi's Chocolate Bar Chocolate Chip Cookies image

I have heard this recipe called "Mrs. Field's Chocolate Chip Cookies" or "Neiman Marcus Cookies". This takes a little work but they are the best chocolate chip cookies I've had. This recipe makes a lot of cookies.

Number Of Ingredients 13

2 c butter, softened
2 c sugar
2 c brown sugar, packed
4 large eggs
2 Tbsp vanilla
4 c all purpose flour
5 c oat flour, make by processing oatmeal in a blender until fine and then measuring
1 Tbsp salt
2 Tbsp baking powder
2 Tbsp baking soda
3 c chopped pecans
24 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
8 oz chocolate bar, grated

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream together butter and sugars. Add eggs one at a time mixing well in between. Add vanilla.
  • 2. Mix together dry ingredients and combine with sugar mixture. Stir in pecans, chocolate chips and grated chocolate bar.
  • 3. Shape dough into golf-ball sized balls, Place 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet, flattening slightly. Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes. Let cool slightly and put on wire rack to cool.
