Meat Loaf Ring image

A flavorful meat loaf from the Mississippi Valley chapter of the United States Regional Cookbook, Culinary Arts Institute of Chicago, 1947.

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 lbs ground beef
1 lb ground pork
1/4 cup minced onion
1/2 cup prepared horseradish
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
2 eggs, well beaten
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup ketchup

Steps:

  • Combine the first 8 ingredients; mix well.
  • Grease a metal ring mold well and pour ketchup in the bottom.
  • Fill mold with meat mixture and bake at 350F for an hour.
  • When finished, unmold and fill center with your vegetable of choice.
