Steps:
- Set a rack in the over about 3 inches from the broiler. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and brush the paper with vegetable oil. Whisk the maple syrup, miso, soy sauce, chili sauce, and vinegar together in a bowl until smooth. Slice the block of tofu into 1/2 inch thick slices and arrange them on the baking sheet at least an inch apart. Spoon or brush the maple-miso glaze onto each piece of tofu. Remember to get the sides of the pieces! Broil for about 5-8 minutes or just until the glaze starts to blister and burn (you may have to watch carefully after 5 minutes or so - once this starts it can progress quickly). Flip each piece over and brush with more glaze. Broil for another 5-8 minutes.
