MANGO HABANERO BBQ GLAZE image

Number Of Ingredients 12

2 tablespoons roasted garlic
3 tablespoon olive oil
2 cup dark beer
3 cup pineapple juice
3/4 cup teriyaki sauce
3 tablespoon low salt soy sauce
4 cups dark brown sugar
1/2cup&1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2cup&1 tablespoon minced white onion
1/2 cup dark aged spiced rum
1/2 cup mango preserves or jam
3/4 teaspoon finely minced habanero

Steps:

  • 1. Combine beer, pineapple juice, teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, mango preserves or jam and brown sugar in a medium saucepan over medium/high heat. Stir occasionally until mixture boils then reduce heat until mixture is just simmering. 2. Add remaining ingredients to pan and whisk to combine. Please remember to use proper care in handling and mincing the babanero. 3. Let mixture simmer for 35-45 minutes or until sauce has reduced by about 1/2 and is thick and syrupy. Make sure it doesn't boil over.
