1 box(es) yellow cake mix
1 15oz can(s) pumpkin devided
1/2 cup(s) milk
1/3 cup(s) oil
4 - lg eggs
1 1/2 teaspoon(s) pumpkin pie spice devided
1 1/2 package(s) 8 oz cream cheese softened
1 cup(s) powdered sugar
1 1/2 package(s) cool whip (not frozen just in the fridge)

Steps:

pre heat oven to 350 grease and flour 2 9 inch round cake pans. beat cake and 1 cup pumpkin, milk, oil, eggs and 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice until blended, bake 20-22 minutes until toothpick comes out clean, let cool completely
in another bowl beat cream cheese until smooth add powdered sugar the rest of the can of pumpkin and 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice mix well. fold in cool whip
frost cakes with topping you made the sprinkle a little pumpkin pie spice on top for garnish
