1 2/3 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vinegar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup chocolate chips

Steps:

  • preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, and salt in mixer.
  • stir in all remaining ingredients.
  • pour into ungreased 8x8x2 square pan.
  • bake 35 to 40 minutes.
  • use any icing you like or none at all.
