Great dessert for any occasion which can be made with different flavors of Jello.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray bottom of a 9 x 9" glass baking pan with cooking spray with flour. Mix butter, shortening, flour, sugar and nuts. Press mixture into baking dish. Bake 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely.
- With electric mixer, beat cream cheese; gradually add powdered sugar and mix until smooth. Stir in Cool Whip and vanilla. Spread over cooled crust; spreading to edges of pan to prevent Jello mixture from seeping through and making crust soggy.
- Dissolve jello in boiling water, stir in pineapple; set aside. Place bowl of jello mixture in a larger bowl containing ice cubes and cold water to slightly thicken jello. Spoon jello mixture over cream cheese mixture. Refrigerate until set.
- Before serving, spread with Cool Whip. Store in refrigerator.
