2 apples, cored and thinly sliced
1 tablespoon butter or 1 tablespoon margarine
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice

Steps:

  • Heat butter in skillet.
  • Sauté apples in butter, over medium low heat, 1-2 minutes until beginning to soften.
  • Sprinkle apples with cinnamon, nutmeg and lemon juice.
  • Continue cooking until apples are soft lightly browned and most of the liquid is evaporated.
  • Arrange apple slices on plates and sprinkle brown sugar.
