Lillet and Cucumber Aperitif image

An aperitif is a type of alcoholic beverage that is served before a meal and is intended to stimulate the appetite, which is why most aperitifs are either a little bitter or bubbly (and sometimes both!). In this simple recipe, cooling cucumber slices are the perfect garnish in a glass of Lillet, an ever so slightly bitter, wine-based French aperitif that contains notes of honey, citrus, and pine.
