Light as Hell Hush Puppies image

I love hush puppies but hate hard hockey pucks! This is the answer.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 c self rising flour
2 c self rising corn meal
3 onions, grated, keep juice
3 eggs
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp salt
buttermilk

Steps:

  • 1. Mix everything with enough buttermilk to make a batter. Let sit for 30 minutes.
  • 2. Drop by spoonfuls into deep fryer. Cook until golden brown.
