Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350, and lightly grease a 9 x 13 pan. In a medium-sized micro-wave safe bowl, melt the butter, then add sugar and stir just to combine. Return the mixture to the microwave briefly, just until it's hot, but not bubbling. It will become shiny lookng as you stir it. Heating the butter and sugar a second time will dissolve more of the sugar, which will yield a shiny top crust on your brownies. Stir in cocoa, salt, baking powder, and vanilla. Add the eggs, beating until smooth, then add the flour and the chips, beating until well combined. Spoon batter into prepared pan. Bake brownies for 28-30 minutes, until a toothpick in the center comes out dry (although it may have a few crumbs clinging). Remove from oven, and after 5 minutes, loosen edges with a table knife, this helps prevent the brownies from sinking in the center as they cool. Cool completely before cutting and serving.
