Kielbasa with Tomatoes and White Beans image

A Polish Italian main dish

Number Of Ingredients 9

1-2 Tbsp oil or butter
1 lb smoked kielbasa, cut into 1/2 inch slices
1 small onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 tsp dried rosemary, crushed
1/2 tsp oregano, dried
1/2 tsp dried basil
141/2 oz can peeled, diced tomatoes
16 oz can great northern, navy or canellini beans

Steps:

  • 1. Heat oil or butter in a large skillet add kielbasa and cook over medium high heat until browned, remove from pan
  • 2. Reduce heat to medium, add onions and cook until transparent
  • 3. Reduce heat to low, add garlic and herbs and cook 1 minute
  • 4. Add kielbasa, tomatoes and white beans, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes.
