Steps:
- Mix all ingredients in dish used for marinating. Lightly score the flank steak, with the grain. Marinate in refrigerator for 2-6 hours, taking it out of the refrigerator one half hour before cooking. Pre- heat grill to very hot. Reserve the marinade. Grill the flank steak for 7 minutes on 1 side and 5 minutes on the other for medium rare ( use slightly less time for a steak thinner then 1 inch). While steak is grilling, place marinade in frypan, add 1/2c red wine, and reduce to 1/3 of volume. When reduced, remove from heat, whisk in butter. Serve alongside steak. When steak is done grilling, place on serving plate, cover with foil and allow to rest for ten minutes prior to serving.
