Jewish Apple Cake image

I have had this recipe since I was in high school. I don't know who or where I got it from or how it got it's name. I make it quite often, and I have never had a bad reaction. I think you will like it. Also a good recipe to have if you go apple picking.

Number Of Ingredients 11

4 eggs
2 c sugar
1 c oil
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 c flour
1/2 tsp salt
4 tsp cinnamon
4 tsp baking powder
5-6 apples (chopped)
1 c nuts (optional)
1/4 c sugar cinnamon mixture (more or less)

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350*
  • 2. In large bowl beat eggs.
  • 3. Gradually add sugar, oil, and vanilla until well mixed.
  • 4. In separate bowl combine all of the dry ingredients.
  • 5. Start adding dry ingredients to the wet. Batter will be very thick!
  • 6. After chopping the apples fold them into the batter. Nuts also if useing them.
  • 7. Spread into a 13X9 baking dish and sprinkle with cinnamon/sugar mixture. (I like alot.)
  • 8. Bake for 50-60 mins. or until toothpick comes out clean
