Jalapeno Cornbread Recipe - (4/5) image

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 1/2 cup self rising corn meal
1 tablespoon self rising flour
3 tablespoon sugar
1 cup buttermilk
2/3 cup crisco oil
2 eggs beaten
1 small can cream style corn
2 or 3 jalapeno peppers (depends on how hot you like)(you may use canned jalapeno peppers.)
1/2 cup green pepper chopped
1 onion chopped
1 1/2 grated cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Mix corn meal, flour and sugar. Add buttermilk, eggs, oil and corn. Mix well add chopped peppers, onions and cheese. Mix together. Preheat 9x13 pan, grease well. Bake @ 375 for 35 minutes or until brown. You may use canned jalapeno peppers.
