Italian Sausage Skillet image

Italian sausage, vegetables, tomato sauce and stuffing mix come together deliciously in this easy, cheesy, weeknight-quick skillet.

1-1/2 lb. Italian sausage, cut into 2-inch-thick slices
1 large red pepper, sliced
1 large green pepper, sliced
1 large onion, sliced
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
1 pkg. (6 oz.) STOVE TOP Savory Herbs Stuffing Mix, prepared
1 cup KRAFT Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

Steps:

  • Cook and stir sausage in large skillet on medium-high heat until sausage is evenly browned and cooked through; drain.
  • Add peppers and onions; cover. Reduce heat to medium; cook 10 min., stirring occasionally. Stir in tomato sauce. Bring to boil.
  • Top sausage mixture with stuffing; sprinkle with cheese. Reduce heat to low; cover. Cook 5 min. or until cheese is melted.
