Italian Pastrami Skillet image

A family pleaser. This one's a keeper

Number Of Ingredients 11

2 tablespoon(s) olive oil
1 medium onion diced
1 medium red bell pepper diced
8 ounce(s) mushroom sliced
4 clove(s) garlic minced
8 ounce(s) pastrami sliced
1/4 cup(s) white wine
32 ounce(s) favorite spaghetti sauce
8 ounce(s) gemelli pasta cooked in salted boiling water and drained
1/4 cup(s) fresh basil chopped
- shredded parmesan cheese for serving

Steps:

  • Add oil to a large skillet. Saute the onion and red bell pepper and saute until softened. Add the mushrooms and garlic and saute until the mushrooms are browned. Add the wine and let most evaporate. Add the pastrami and cook until browned. Add the spaghetti sauce and simmer 10 minutes. Add the basil and stir in the cooked pasta.
  • Serve with shredded parmesan cheese.
