Italian Dark Chocolate & Anise Cookie's image

Yummy semolina based cookies with bittersweet chocolate and anise. So good.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 1/2 cup(s) semolina flour
1/2 cup(s) all-purpose flour
2 teaspoon(s) baking powder
1 teaspoon(s) anise seed
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
1 teaspoon(s) light brown sugar
1/2 cup(s) bittersweet chocolate, melted
1/2 cup(s) oil
1/4 cup(s) water
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spray with non-stick baking spray.
  • In a bowl, thoroughly mix together semolina flour, all-purpose flour, baking powder, anise seeds, and salt.
  • In another bowl, mix sugar, melted chocolate, oil, water, and vanilla thoroughly. Slowly add the dry mixture to the wet mixture till blended.
  • Roll into 12 balls and lay them out on the baking sheet-dough will be a bit sticky, so you may want to oil your hands first. Bake for 10 to 11 minutes.
