Irish Honey Whiskey Sauce image

I love this stuff served over fried cabbage and onions. (I opted for "chicken" under categories as JAP does not have a broth option)

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 1/2 Tbsp vegetable ol
1 medium onion, minced
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 c honey
1 c irish whiskey
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
2 tsp ketchup
1 juice of 1 lemon
4 c chicken stock
1/2 c condensed chicken broth

Steps:

  • 1. Place all ingredients into a large saucepan and bring to a boil.
  • 2. Boil down to half, check consistency and boil down a bit more if needed.
  • 3. Serve over meat, potatoes or vegetable hash.
