Hush Puppy Essentials: Ultimate Dipping Sauce image

This is a brilliant sauce for hush puppies, and other things, like shrimp and scallops. Easy/Peasy to make and tastes spicy and awesome. So, you ready... Let's get into the kitchen.

PLAN/PURCHASE
2 Tbsp ketchup, homemade, if possible
2 Tbsp lime juice, freshly squeezed
1 Tbsp prepared horseradish sauce, or more to taste
1 Tbsp mayonnaise, i prefer duke's
1 Tbsp chili sauce, hot or mild, your call
1 tsp tabasco sauce
salt, kosher variety, to taste
white pepper, freshly ground, to taste

Steps:

  • 1. PREP/PREPARE
  • 2. Gather your ingredients (mise en place).
  • 3. Add all the ingredients together and give it a few hours for the flavors to blend.
  • 4. Fry up some of your favorite hush puppies.
  • 5. PLATE/PRESENT
  • 6. Use as a dipping sauce for hush puppies, shrimp, or whatever. Enjoy.
  • 7. Keep the faith, and keep cooking.
