HUNGARIAN PORK AND SAUERKRAUT image

2 lbs pork tenderloin, cut in 1 1/2 inch cubes
2 chopped onions
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp. chicken-flavor instant bouillon powder
1 tsp each: caraway seed, dried dill, salt
1 tbls sweet paprika
1 can (27 ozs) sauerkraut, drained
2 cups sour cream
Hot cooked new potatoes in their jackets

Steps:

  • In saucepan, combine pork, onions, garlic, bouillon powder, caraway seed, dill, salt, and 1/2 cup hot water. Bring to a boil; lower heat, cover, and simmer 1 hour Blend in paprika. Add sauerkraut; stir gently to combine. Cover; simmer 30 to 45 minutes onger, until meat is fork tender. Remove from heat. Gradually stir in sour cream. Return to heat and heat through, but do not boil. Serve with potatoes.
