1 cup white sugar
1 stick salted butter, softened
1 large egg
2 cups self-rising flour
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon self-rising flour, or as needed
2 cups huckleberries

  • Cream sugar, butter, and egg together in a bowl with an electric mixer. Add 2 cups flour, milk, and vanilla extract. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon flour on huckleberries to prevent them from sinking. Add berries to the batter; pour into the prepared pan.
