HOT BUTTERED RUM CIDER image

5 cups apple juice or cider
2 cups rum
3 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. brown sugar
3 tbsp. water
freshly ground nutmeg (to taste)
freshly ground ginger (to taste)
cinnamon (to taste)
whole cloves (to taste)

Steps:

  • Place the rum in a pot and heat it with the lid removed on high until boiling and boil it for about 15 minutes. Then, add apple juice and spices and bring back to a boil for about 15 more minutes. In a separate saucepan, melt the butter, brown sugar, and water together until smooth, then add it into the cider mix until everything is evenly incorporated.
