Honey Rolls image

These are fabulous, Soft and have a wonderful flavor. serve hot or cold. The honey helps keep them soft longer and adds a light sweet flavor.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 c milk, scalded
1/4 c butter
1/3 c honey
3 tsp yeast
1/4 c warm water
1 tsp salt
5 c flour
2 large eggs

Steps:

  • 1. Stir the butter and honey into the hot scalded milk and stir until the butter melts, cool until only lukewarm.
  • 2. Dissolve the yeast in the warm water and add to the cooled milk mixture along with the salt and 2 cups of the flour.
  • 3. Blend in the eggs and the rest of the flour to make a soft dough.
  • 4. Knead lightly until smooth.
  • 5. Place in a buttered bowl, cover , and let rise until double.
  • 6. Shape into rolls and place in a buttered 9x13 pan. Cover and let rise again.
  • 7. Bake in a 400 degree oven for 15 minutes or until tops are golden.
