Time 3h15m

Yield 18 servings

Number Of Ingredients 10

3/4 cup milk
10 Tbsp. butter or margarine, divided
3-1/2 cups flour, divided
2 pkg. active dry yeast
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 cup plus 3 Tbsp. honey, divided
1 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs, divided
1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
1/4 cup powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Cook milk and 1/2 cup (8 Tbsp.) butter in saucepan on low heat until butter is completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring occasionally.
  • Place 2 cups flour, yeast and salt in large bowl. Add milk mixture, 1/3 cup honey and vanilla; beat with mixer until blended. Add 3 eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in enough of the remaining flour until mixture forms soft dough.
  • Place dough on lightly floured surface; knead 5 min. or until smooth and elastic. Place in greased bowl. Melt remaining butter; brush onto dough. Cover. Let rise in warm place 1-1/2 hours or until doubled in volume.
  • Separate remaining egg; reserve egg white for later use. Mix egg yolk with cream cheese and sugar until blended. Punch down dough. Place on floured surface; roll into 18x12-inch rectangle; spread with cream cheese mixture to within 1 inch of edges.
  • Roll up dough, starting at one long side; press edges together to seal. Cut into 18 (1-inch-thick) slices; place, 1 inch apart, on baking sheets sprayed with cooking spray. Flatten each into 4-inch round; cover. Let rise in warm place 45 min. or until doubled in volume.
  • Heat oven to 350°F. Lightly beat reserved egg white; brush onto dough.
  • Bake 15 to 20 min. or until lightly browned. Remove to wire racks; cool slightly. Drizzle with remaining honey. Serve warm.
