Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- 2. Mix sage, paprika, seasoned salt, garlic powder, pepper, and nutmeg in a small bowl.
- 3. Sprinkle 1/2 seasoning mixture inside turkey along with bayleaves, onion, lemon, and orange wedges. Brush turkey with oil. Rub rest of seasoning over entire surface and under breast skin of turkey. Add 1/2 cup water to pan. Cover turkey loosely with heavy duty foil.
- 4. Roast 1 hour, remove foil. Roast rest of time, time depending on size of bird, until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees. Baste occasionally with pan juices.
- 5. Remove turkey from oven. Let stand 1 hour prior to carving. Reserve pan juices to make gravy.
