This simple, old fashioned cookie recipe has been passed down for generations. My mother-in-law passed this down to me for my kids, and now they have it for their upcoming generations. Easy, and much better than a mix or store-bought cookies! Great fall treat as well.

Steps:
- Mix dry ingredients in a bowl: flour, baking soda, salt, oats, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set aside.
- Mix wet ingredients in large bowl: brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Add dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Combine and mix in raisins.
- With two spoons, drop small balls of cookie dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-14 minutes.
