HAWAIIAN STYLE PORK CHOPS - CROCK POT image

I love dressed-up pork. Pork is a blah and bland piece of meat that when combined with marinades and tropical fruits takes on a wonderful flavorful meat dish.

Number Of Ingredients 9

6 lean boneless pork chops
1 Tbsp prepared mustard
2 Tbsp white wine vinegar
1 Tbsp hoisin sauce
salt and pepper to taste
1 can(s) 8 oz. pineapple chunks in juice
2 Tbsp cornstarch
2 Tbsp water
1 papaya, peeled, seeded and sliced

Steps:

  • 1. Place chops in crock pot.
  • 2. In a small bowl, combine mustard, vinegar, hoisin sauce, salt and pepper.
  • 3. Drain juice from pineapple chunks and add juice to mustard mixture, reserve the pineapple chunks.
  • 4. Pour the sauce over chops in the crock pot.
  • 5. Cover and cook on low, 5 to 6 hours or until meat is tender.
  • 6. Remove chops and keep warm.
  • 7. Turn to high.
  • 8. In a small bowl, dissolve cornstarch with water. Stir cornstarch mixture into the juices in the crock pot.
  • 9. Cover and cook on high for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • 10. Stir in pineapple chunks and papaya.
  • 11. Serve chops with sauce and add coconut and macadamia nuts if desired.
