I always have a pork chop or chicken recipe that everyone loves. This is quick & easy. So easy even my friend who can't cook can do it.

Categories     Pork

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 teaspoon(s) vegetable oil
4 - pork chops, bone-in
1 - red & yellow pepper, coarsely chopped
2 can(s) fat-free reduced-sodium chicken broth
1/4 cup(s) catalina dressing
1-1/2 teaspoon(s) garlic powder
1-1/2 cup(s) instant white rice, uncooked

Steps:

  • In a large nonstick frying pan heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops & cook for about 5 mins on each side or until browned on each side.
  • Next add in the remaining ingredients all except the rice & mix well. Bring to a boil.
  • Then stir in the rice, cover pan & cook over medium-low heat for abotu 5 mins or until chops are done (160F). Then remove from the heat & let stand for 5 mins.
  • Special Tip: You may substitute 4 small boneless skinless chicken breast halves. Just brown on each side for about 5 to 6 mins.
