Hanky Panky Cocktail image

This classic gin cocktail was first created in the 1920s by Ada Coleman of The Savoy Hotel's American Bar in London. Fernet gives it a bitter kick.

Yield Makes 1 cocktail

Number Of Ingredients 4

1½ oz. (45ml) gin
1½ oz. (45ml) sweet vermouth
2 dashes Fernet-Branca
Strip of orange peel, to serve

Steps:

  • Stir gin, sweet vermouth, and Fernet-Branca with ice until chilled. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Twist a swathe of orange peel over the surface of the drink and add to glass as garnish.
