Number Of Ingredients 7

1 stick butter
1 medium onion peeled and diced
1 large head of cabbage, washed, cored, and thinly sliced
1 tablespoon chicken soup base dissolved in 1/2 cup boiling water or 1/2 cup of chicken stock or broth
1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
1 bag kluski noodles cooked according to package instructions and drained
Salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Melt butter in a large frying pan. Once the butter is completely melted, stir in the diced onions and cook over medium hear, stirring continuously, approximately 3-5 minutes or until the onions are translucent but not browned. Add cabbage and some ofthe chicken base that has been dissolved in the water. Cook 10-15 minutes, stirring continuously or until the pieces are completely wilted and the color has brightened. 2. Add the noodles gradually, taking care to break up any clumps, and additional butter if desired, and cook until the noodles are heated through. Stir in the sugar and allow it to dissolve. Add salt and pepper to taste before serving.
