Grits Casserole image

A really good breakfast casserole.

Number Of Ingredients 9

4 cup(s) water
1 cup(s) grits
4 - eggs
1 cup(s) milk
1 stick(s) butter
1 pound(s) bulk pork sausage
1 teaspoon(s) salt
1 cup(s) cheddar cheese, grated
1 box(es) jiffy corn muffin mix

Steps:

  • Combine water, butter, and salt. Bring to a boil. Add grits. Reduce heat and cook grits for 15 - 20 minutes. Let cool.
  • Saute sausage and drain. Beat the eggs with the milk. Combine all ingredients together with the corn muffin mix. Pour into a 13 x 9 inch casserole. Cover with cheese. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes.
