Grilled Cheese With Pear and Arugula image

This is really easy, my 9 year old can make it perfectly! The kids and adults love it, and it is a good, yet different, use for pears.

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 teaspoons butter, divided (maybe more)
4 slices multigrain bread
4 ounces sliced cheddar cheese
1 small pear, thinly sliced
1 -2 cup arugula leaf

Steps:

  • Melt 1 teas (or more) butter in large skillet over medium heat.
  • Rub two bread slices around the skillet to coat one side with melted butter, then flip bread to toast the dry side for about 1 minute.
  • Flip bread buttered-side down again and top one piece with half the cheese, pear and arugula; top with the other bread slice, butter-side up.
  • Grill until golden brown, about 1 minuted per side.
