GRANDMA'S GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE image

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 tbl butter
2 tbl flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp white sugar
1/4 cup diced onion
1 cup sour cream
28 oz green beans, cooked
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup crumbled Ritz crackers
1 tbl melted butter

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Melt 2 tbl butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Stir in flour until smooth, and cook for 1 minute. Stir in the salt, sugar, onion, & sour cream. Add green beans & stir to coat. 3. Transfer the mixture to a 2 1/2 quart casserole dish. Spread shredded cheese over the top. In a small bowl, toss together cracker crumbs & remaining butter, & sprinkle over the cheese. 4. Bake for 30 minutes or until the top is golden & cheese is bubbly.
