Grand Marnier Cranberry Sauce image

Great with poultry. A bit of orange flavor and spices.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1/2 c granulated sugar
1/2 c light brown sugar
1/2 c water
1/2 c orange juice
2 tsp grated orange zest
12 oz fresh cranberries
1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice
2 Tbsp grand marnier liqueur

Steps:

  • 1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine sugars, water and orange juice. Stir constantly until sugars are dissolved.
  • 2. Add cranberries, orange zest and spices. Cook until cranberries have mostly popped, about 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • 3. Remove from heat and stir in Grand Marnier. Pour sauce into a bowl and cool. Sauce will thicken as it cools.
