Steps:
- 1. Mix together flour,cloves,salt,shortening,cinnamon,nutmeg,and brown sugar.Take out 2/3 cup of mixture for topping. To rest of mixture,add milk,baking soda and eggs.Beat well.Pour batter into greased pan;put egg mixture on top of cake and bake in a slow oven 200-300 degrees untill done.
