Ginger Molasses Cookies image

Oh, my these are good! My friend Marney was kind enough to share her recipe with me! Hard to eat just one!

Number Of Ingredients 13

DRY INGREDIENTS
2 cup(s) all purpose flour
1 teaspoon(s) baking powder
1 teaspoon(s) baking soda
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
1 teaspoon(s) cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon(s) ginger
OTHER INGREDIENTS
3/4 cup(s) butter
3/4 cup(s) sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup(s) molasses
extra sugar for dipping

Steps:

  • Measure and whisk the dry ingredients together and set aside.
  • In a large bowl cream sugar, butter, egg and molasses together. Then gradually stir the dry ingredients into the butter mixture. Mix well.
  • Roll into 1 inch balls, dip into sugar and place on parchment lined cookie sheets. Press once with a fork to slightly flatten. * Dip the fork into some flour to keep from sticking to the little balls.
  • Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven, for 10 minutes. Don't over bake, remove from the oven while still soft.
