Gina's Applesauce Muffins image

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 boxes golden raisins
3.5 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons nutmeg
0.5 teaspoons cloves
1 teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons coco
2 cups sugar
1 cups shortening
2 cups applesauce
4 units eggs

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400.
  • 1. Soak box of raisins in water
  • 2. Sift together 3 times flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, salt, & coco.
  • 3. Cream together sugar, shortening, & applesauce. Add eggs mixing 1 in at a time.
  • 4. Mix wet ingredients with raisins.
  • 5. Mix in dry ingredients a little at a time until well mixed.
  • 6. Coat muffin tins with nonstick spray and fill 2/3 full.
  • 7. Bake at 400 until toothpick comes out clean, 15-20 minutes.
