GENERAL TSO'S CAULIFLOWER image

3-3.5 cups raw cauliflower florets
4 tbsp gluten-free all purpose flour
3 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp. tamari
3 tbsp. sherry
3 tbsp. red wine vinegar
3 tbsp raw honey or maple syrup
3 cloves fresh garlic minced
1/2 tbsp chili paste
Green onions and toasted sesame seeds for garnish

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375. Place cauliflower and olive oil in large ziplock bag and shake, add flour gradually, shaking as you go. No visible flour. Keep moist. Drizzle olive oil in glass baking dish. Add cauliflower . Back 30-40 minutes until golden brown. Meanwhile, combine water, tamari, sherry,, and vinegar in small sauce pan on low heat. When warm, add honey, garlic, and chili paste. Simmer on medium low heat until sauce thickens. Add 2/3 of sauce to cauliflower. Stir. and broil 5/10 minutes until sizzling. Add remainder of sauce.and garnish.
