GARLIC SOUR CREAM MASHED POTATOES image

10 medium/large potatoes, peeled
1/2 pint sour cream
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 tsp. onion salt
1 tsp. garlic powder (or 3-4 cloves fresh garlic, minced)

Steps:

  • 1. In a large pot, boil potatoes until tender (they're done when a fork is easily inserted). 2. Drain off water. In a large casserole dish, mash the potatoes and add sour cream, cream cheese, onion, and garlic (more onion and garlic may be added to suit your tastes). 3. Bake the potatoes, covered, at 350 until hot, or simply heat in the microwave. 4. Serve immediately. You may also make this dish a few days ahead of time. Make ahead directions: -Follow steps 1-2 -Cover and refrigerate -When you're ready to serve them, bake the potatoes in the casserole dish, covered, at 350 for about 1/2 hour until hot -Serve immediately
