GARLIC-HERBED BREAD image

Yield 10-12 slices

Number Of Ingredients 6

½ cup unsalted butter, room temperature
2 tablespoons Italian (flat-leaf) parsley, chopped
1½ teaspoon minced garlic (about 3 cloves)
3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
Pinch freshly-cracked black pepper
1 (14 to 18 ounce) baguette or French bread

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a small bowl combine butter, parsley, garlic, salt, and a dash of black pepper. Without cutting through bottom crust, slice baguette in 1 1/2-inch slices. Generously spread butter mixture between slices. Wrap baguette in heavy foil. Bake 15 minutes or until heated through. Serve warm.
