Gallon Margarita image

If many people are around who loves Margaritas, that you have to serve, this is a real time saver. (or do like I did once, freeze in small Styrofoam cups & once frozen toss into freezer bags. Then bring out later when you want just one small portion).

Number Of Ingredients 9

THE MIX
6 c tequila, (buy two fifths for this)
2 1/2 c triple sec (buy one fifth)
2 1/2 c fresh lime juice
2 1/2 c fresh lemon juice
2 c simple syrup
FINISHING TOUCHES
crushed ice
kosher salt to rim glasses, optional

Steps:

  • 1. In a gallon container, mix all the ingredients except ice & salt. (tequila, triple sec, lime juice, lemon juice, & simple syrup). Refrigerate.
  • 2. When ready to serve: Optional as to salt the rim of the glass. You can rub a lime around the rim & then dip into the salt. When ready to serve, fill a 16 oz. glass with the ice & fill with the Margarita mix.
