FRUITCAKE DROPS image

Yield 12 dozen 1 inch cookies

Number Of Ingredients 14

1 cup sifted flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
4 tbsp (1/2 stick) butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
2 tbsp brandy
1 pkge (8 oz) pitted dates, chopped
4 oz. mixed candied fruit
4 oz candied red cherries chopped
4 oz candied pineapple, chopped
1/2 cup chopped almonds
1/2 cup chopped brazil nuts

Steps:

  • Sift flour, soda, salt, and cinnamon onto waxed paper Cream butter with sugur until fluffy in medium bowl, beat in egg & brandy Stir in flour mixtue, half at a time, blending well to make soft dough. Stir in dates, candied fruits & nuts Drop batter, rounded tsp, onto cookie sheets Bake in moderate oven 350 deg F. 12 minutes or until firm, lightly browned
