1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 teaspoon maple extract
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg, beaten
3/4 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon maple extract

Steps:

combine brown sugar, maple extract, vanilla, egg and butter together.add flour, baking soda,.dough will be very sticky.
drop by tspful on greased cookie sheet.
bake for 10-12 minutes at 350*.
let rest for 1 minute on sheet before removing to rack --
frost when cool with maple frosting.
to prepare FROSTING:.
combine frosting ingredients until smooth and spread over cooled cookies.
