Fried Chicken Wings image

This is as close as I can tell you how I make mine, I use the "sounds right" method of when to turn my chickens and when to take out! You can more wings or less if you want. Dress with hot sauce, wing sauce or just as they are! Taste like chicken good for the whole family!!!

Number Of Ingredients 13

1 dozen - frozen chicken wings
1 Tbsp - garlic powder
1 Tbsp - onion powder
1-bottle - beer, your choice
2 c - apple cider vinegar
1 tsp - fresh ground black pepper
1/2 c - smoke salt
1/2 c - brown sugar
- water to cover
FOR COATING
1-c - flour
1 c - cornmeal
1/4 c - seasoning salt

Steps:

  • In a bowl big enough to hold them, put in frozen chicken wings
  • Add salt, pepper, sugar, onion and garlic powder vinegar and beer and cover with water
  • Allow to sit in brine for at least 4 hours
  • Take out and pat dry and drop into a bag containing flour cornmeal and season salt, shake well
  • Heat oil to 350 in a large cast iron skillet,reduce heat to Medium slowly place each wing into oil and cook 3 min per side, then 2-3 min per side again. Remove and let cool slightly on paper towel Enjoy!!!!
