Fran's homemade chicken noodle soup image

A friend made this soup for me once and I had to have the recipe. Since then I've made it numerous times and have also given it to both my daughters. If I don't have the time to make the homemade noodles, I will use the ones you can find in the freezer section.

Number Of Ingredients 15

1 large container chicken broth
1 can(s) cream of chicken soup
1 can(s) cream of celery soup
1-2 cup(s) water (personal preference on thickness)
- salt/pepper to taste
INGREDIENTS FOR NOODLES
2 - eggs beaten
4 tablespoon(s) milk
1 teaspoon(s) salt
2 cup(s) flour
3 tablespoon(s) olive oil
VEGETABLES IF DESIRED
- diced carrots
- diced celery
- diced onions

Steps:

  • Dice and prepare any vegetables that you choose to add to your soup. In a large stock pot combine your broth, soups, water & salt/pepper. Add your vegetables and bring to a soft boil.
  • While above mixture is cooking you can make your noodles. Mix all of the noodle ingredients together; place a small amount on a floured cutting board and roll out. Cut your noodles into strips at whatever length you desire.
  • once noodles are ready start placing them into your stock pot and continue to cook for another 10 to 15 minutes.
