Steps:
- 1. Sift flour, baking powder, baking powder and salt together in a bowl and set aside. Cream shortening, add sugar and continue beating. Add beaten eggs and bananas and mix well. Add the flour alternating with buttermilk and vanilla ending with flour and all well mixed.
- 2. Pour into 2 greased pans of 9 inches, bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for about 30-40 minutes. I do use the frosting that is in my repertoire of this book. You can if you like.
