Steps:
- 1. Fava beans must be sorted, washed and soaked for several hours so that you can remove the thick skin. Once that is done they are ready to cook.
- 2. Pinto beans must also be sorted, washed and soaked preferably over night. Then cooked in water and salt (to taste) on the stove until tender then drained.
- 3. Once the dry beans have been prepared all beans can be put into a crock pot with other ingredients and cooked for several hours until ready to serve.
