Everything Cookies image

These are different every week, depending on what I have to put in them. You can put whatever you want into them, that's what makes them "Everything"! Fill up the measurement amounts with nuts, chocolate chips, coconut, candy, wheat germ, dried cranberries, raisins... well, EVERYTHING! If times are lean, you can leave out most...

Number Of Ingredients 14

1 c butter or margarine
1 c white sugar
1 c packed brown sugar
1 c vegetable oil
3 1/2 c flour
1 c rolled oats
1 c generic rice krispies
1 c coconut (or another ingredient like it)
1 c nuts (or granola)
1 c chocolate chips, or candy, or what have you?
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

Steps:

  • 1. I just put all the ingredients in a bowl and let clean-handed children just mush and squish it all together. Drop on greased cookie sheets in amounts about the size of a walnut (meaning, 'the size of walnuts still in the shell').
  • 2. Bake at 350F for 10-15 minutes. Our stove is unpredictable at times, based on what we're burning for fuel, so I keep a pretty close eye on them. When they're brownish and smell good, take them out!
  • 3. Let cool for a few moments before removing from baking sheets. These are our "treat" cookies, I hope you enjoy them!
